Phase 1 of Aquilini centre is a 26 story mixed use development tied into Rogers Arena. L100 and L300 saw expanded concourses to accommodate new upscale food and beverage, while L200 received increased washroom facilities increasing the Arena's washroom capacity by 25%. Rising above the arena is 8 story's of commercial space and a further 18 floors of rental units. Construction is now complete.
Construction is now complete on the New Jubilee House in downtown South providing 162 units for at risk seniors and low income residents. Replacing the original Jubilee House, the building offers a mix of 116 studios and 46 one-bedroom homes. A total of 87 units will house the existing at risk seniors of the former Jubilee House and 75 new low income units available. The project was co-financed by the City of Vancouver and the province.
The sprawling 675,000 sq. ft. urban resort and casino is in the heart of downtown right next to BC Place. The 6 floor podium space will be the new home for the existing Edgewater Casino, along with multiple banquet and conference area's as well as a number of upscale dining establishments. Rising above are 2 luxury JW Marriott hotels across 3 towers, 25 story's tall. With a very intense construction schedule this project has proven to be one of our most challenging, yet exciting projects to date. This design assist project is being constructed in a joint venture with Broadway Refrigeration.
Defence Canada invested in Vancouver with the construction of the new Seaforth Armoury and relocation of Jericho Garrison. The new 4 storey building is the new headquarters for the 39 Canadian Brigade Group. Along with this new building came the challenge of a retrofit and seismic upgrade to the existing heritage building from 1910 to bring up to today's building codes.
Centennial Secondary has been designed around 6 learning communities, a 3000 sq. ft. Science lab, NBA sized gym, and a state of the art teaching kitchen all constructed to LEED Gold standards. Another project to compliment our long history of Mechanical work in Educational field.
For over 35 years we have completed a variety of projects from residential to educational buildings, highrises to industrial warehouses. We oversee every aspect of Mechanical Contracting and have acted as General Contractors in several of our own projects.
On February 21st, 2016, Pitt Meadows Plumbing participated in the Prostate Cancer Canada event Step Up for Dad held in downtown Vancouver. We were challenged by Ellis Don to donate to their team, so we pledged $10,000 to their efforts and also started our own team with an additional $5000. Proceeds are going towards the new Prostate Research Centre in Vancouver.
