Gold Award of Excellence from the VRCA - Vancouver Regional Construction Association in the 2020 Mechanical Contractor projects over $9 million category for our work on Penticton Regional Hospital!

This project was pivotal for our team for so many reasons. There were many innovations that we were able to pioneer and bring forward such as the collaborative multi-trade racks with our partners on this project. We also were able to provide a full 3D BIM model to the owner which will enable them to facilitate future changes when required. It was also an opportunity for us to assemble mock-ups of what certain areas of the hospital would look like before we even got started. Penticton Hospital was also one of the first projects that we instituted the use of job box computers, installing screens onto mobile stations that allowed anyone working on-site access to the 3D model drawings.

Overall, there were many processes that were started on this project that we continue to improve upon and we will always look at Penticton Hospital as one of the game-changers for the PMP team.

Senior Project Manager Shalana Morton started with PMP back in 2016 and Penticton was her first project with us. Her leadership is one of the key reasons why we were recognized last night:

“Thank-you to the PMP Team, EllisDon, our partners and everyone else who made this project a success. It was definitely a collaborative effort and we are so thrilled with the final result. Thank-you to the VRCA judges for acknowledging the hard work that went into ensuring the City of Penticton has a hospital facility they can be proud of.” Shalana Morton
